Takin' Care Of Business
The band recorded a cover of Bachman Turner Overdrive's Takin' Care of Business in June of 1990 as a possible single to coincide with the release of the movie of the same name, starring Jim Belushi and Charles Grodin. Three different versions of the track were recorded, but to date none of them have been released, and the whole project was eventually shelved.
Larry Blackmon from Cameo guested on the track (and according to some sources produced the song) presumably doing his own verse. The band took a photo with him during the recording of the song:
To date, nothing from the sessions has surfaced officially or unofficially. Whether it ever will is unlikely. But the song was mentioned in the text file that accompanied the leak of the Mother's Milk Session Tapes: "I heard a couple of takes of BTO's "Takin’ Care o' Business", one funk version, one straight forward take" implying that at one point, copies of it did circulate outside of the label.
